Keynotes: Coldness to injured parts, puncture wounds and stings. Eruptions without heat; Swelling and Stiffness - better with cold applications. Insect stings, animal bites and puncture wounds by sharp pointed instruments; arthritic pains. Blunt trauma to the eye, black and blue tissues. Swelling at injection sites following vaccination. Ledum helps wounds heal from bottom to surface possibly by helping to improve blood and oxygen supply to cold areas around puncture wounds and contusions. Worse from warmth and at night. Better from putting injured part in ice water.
